Charles B. Carlson, CEO and Portfolio Manager of Horizon
Investment Services, has over 25 years of investment experience. Chuck, a Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA), holds an undergraduate degree in journalism from Northwestern
University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is the editor of the
DRIP Investor newsletter and is a contributing editor of Dow
Theory Forecasts,
both published by Horizon Publishing Co.
Chuck is the author of eight books, including the best-selling Buying Stocks Without A Broker (McGraw-Hill), No-Load Stocks (McGraw-Hill), Eight Steps to Seven Figures (Doubleday), The Smart Investor's Survival Guide (Random House) and Winning With The Dow's Losers (Harper/Collins). His comments have appeared in such newspapers and magazines as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Newsweek, U.S. News & World Report, The Washington Post, Money, Business Week, Forbes, Barron's, and Kiplinger's Personal Finance. Richard J. Moroney
Richard
J. Moroney, Vice President and Portfolio Manager of Horizon Investment Services, also serves as Chief Investment Officer. Rich, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with 18 years of investment experience, holds an undergraduate degree in journalism and economics from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Rich is the editor of Dow Theory Forecasts and Upside newsletters and is Research Director of Horizon Publishing Co., an affiliate of Horizon Investment Services. His comments have appeared in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Business Week, and USA Today. He also frequently appears on television, including CNBC, CNN, and Bloomberg.
David Wright
David Wright, CFA, is an Associate Portfolio Manager and equity analyst for Horizon Investment Services.
In addition, Mr. Wright is the managing editor of Upside, a top performing newsletter featuring small and midcap stocks, published by Horizon Publishing Company, sister company of Horizon Investment Services. He is a contributing editor to Dow Theory Forecasts, also published by Horizon Publishing Company, where he specializes in quantitative models and stock screening methods. Mr. Wright holds an undergraduate degree from Indiana University, earned his MBA in finance from DePaul University, and was granted the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2001.
Robert Sweet
Robert Sweet, CFA, is an Equity Analyst for Horizon Investment Services.
In addition, Bob is the managing editor of Dow Theory Forecasts, a weekly newsletter focusing on stocks of large and midsize companies. The Forecasts is published by Horizon Publishing, a sister company of Horizon Investment Services. The Forecasts has been published every week since 1946 and is one of the five best-performing newsletters since 1980. Bob has worked in the journalism industry for 15 years, writing and editing for newspapers, magazines, and newsletters. For the last seven years, Bob has focused on financial writing. He earned an undergraduate degree in journalism and English from Northwestern University in 1991 and was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2003.
Cheryl Evans
Cheryl
Evans, CFA, is a Quantitative Analyst for Horizon
Investment Services.
Ms. Evans has nearly 20 years of investment experience, much of it focused
on the small cap value sector. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and
graduated with distinction from Indiana University with a degree in Finance.
Ms. Evans is also a programmer for the Quadrix® stock selection system*.
